Shaping New Discoveries in Youth (SNDY)
Why We Exist
At SNDY Tracks (pronounced “Sandy Tracks”), we believe that growth happens when we step into the unknown, explore new experiences, and embrace challenges at our own pace. SNDY stands for Shaping New Discoveries in Youth, reflecting our commitment to helping young people uncover their strengths, develop resilience, and navigate life’s shifting landscapes.
Much like how a beach constantly reshapes with the wind and tides, personal growth happens gradually — one moment, one experience, one step at a time. Through adventure-based therapy, we create opportunities for young people to explore, reflect, and develop the confidence to shape their own path forward.
Swap screens for streams.
SNDY Tracks taps the Central Coast’s bush, creeks and trails to spark growth. Mixing counselling, life-skills coaching and NDIS-funded respite into personalised outdoor journeys for neurodiverse, trauma-affected and disadvantaged youth. When the setting shifts, perspectives follow.

Adventure-based Counselling
What is
Adventure-based Counselling?
Turning Therapy into an Adventure!
Imagine swapping the traditional counselling room for the great outdoors! Sam Duke is a PACFA-registered counsellor, with outdoor recreation qualifications, CPR, first aid, and working with children check. Sam is passionate about nature and journeying alongside young people, offering a unique twist on therapy. With more than six years of experience working with neurodiverse youth, Sam is deeply committed to the powerful transformations that occur when individuals push beyond their comfort zones and embrace discomfort. Choose your adventure—whether it's fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, four-wheel driving, snorkelling, mountain biking, going to the park, or something entirely different. We work with you to develop activities and goals that are most effective for you.
A typical session is one-on-one and blends an hour of insightful counselling into a three-hour adventure, creating a seamless and engaging experience. Sam works with young people aged 10-30 who are neurodiverse and/or at risk.
This approach is perfect for those who find it hard to sit still in a room or who are seeking outdoor experiences. The shared adventure fosters trust and builds rapport, making the therapeutic process authentic, fun, and effective.
Who is this for? Our programs are designed for NDIS-funded and privately funded participants, ensuring everyone receives the tailored support and resources they need to thrive. We provide individualised care to help participants build essential life skills, foster personal growth, and promote social engagement in a safe environment. Our commitment is to empower all participants to reach their unique goals and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

Ready to get started?
-
Use the client portal to get started and tell us a little about what you are looking for, who the support is for, and any key goals or concerns
-
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with the required intake and consent forms. These help us understand support needs, goals, medical and safety considerations, and the best way to begin.
-
We will connect with you for an initial assessment to learn more about the young person, their needs, interests, support requirements, and what a meaningful program could look like.
-
We design a personalised adventure-based counselling, group therapy or support plan, including suitable activities, locations, pacing, and therapeutic focus, based on the individual’s goals and comfort level.
-
We confirm the proposed supports, session structure, service agreement, and any practical details so everyone is clear and comfortable before sessions begin.
-
Once everything is in place, sessions begin. From there, we build support through connection, movement, challenge, reflection, and experiences that are tailored to the young person.
